Frequently Asked Questions

Everything people ask us before they buy. If your question isn't here, email info@luacee.com and we'll answer it ourselves.

Is this cream right for my skin?

It suits normal, dry and combination skin. It's a cushioned cream rather than a heavy balm, so it works if you want real moisture without a greasy finish. If your skin feels tight by the afternoon, or if what you're using now sits on top rather than absorbing, this is the kind of cream that helps. There's no age it stops working at — what matters is your skin, not your birthday.

I'm allergic to bee stings. Can I use it?

No. If you have a known allergy to bees, bee stings, or bee products including honey and propolis, this cream is not for you, and no discount changes that. We'd rather lose the order than the trust.

How is the bee venom collected?

Our venom is collected on a glass plate carrying a light electrical current. Bees sting the glass, leave a trace of venom on the surface, and fly away with their stingers intact. It is slow, it yields very little, and it is the only method we will use. Not one bee is harmed to make this cream.

Do I need to patch test?

Yes, before first use. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours. If any redness, irritation or swelling appears, don't use the product. Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs at any point, and consult a physician.

Can I use it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Ask your doctor first. We're not in a position to advise on individual medical circumstances, and a qualified professional who knows your history is.

Morning, night, or both?

Both. Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin morning and evening. Warm it between your fingertips and press gently into the face and neck, avoiding the eye area.

Do I still need sunscreen?

Yes. This is a moisturiser, not a sunscreen — it contains no SPF. Use a separate broad-spectrum SPF in the morning, applied after this cream has absorbed.

Is it fragranced?

Yes, naturally — with lavender and ylang ylang essential oils. There is no synthetic fragrance or dye in the formula. If you're sensitive to essential oils, that's worth knowing before you buy.

How long does one jar last?

A 50ml jar used twice daily typically lasts around eight to twelve weeks, depending on how much you apply. Once opened, use it within nine months.

What's actually in it?

6 ingredients do the visible work. Three from the hive — New Zealand bee venom, manuka honey and propolis. Then Phormium tenax, the New Zealand flax used there for skin long before we arrived, with niacinamide and squalane. They sit on a base of aloe vera, shea butter, panthenol and vitamin E. The complete INCI list is printed on every jar and shown on the product page.

Where is it made?

New Zealand — which is also where the manuka honey and Phormium tenax come from. It's manufactured in a facility certified to ISO 22716 Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practice by both Cosmetics New Zealand and IANZ.

Is it tested on animals?

No.

How long until I see something?

Comfort and finish are immediate — skin feels cushioned from the first application, and you can judge that yourself in about four seconds. Anything to do with the appearance of tone or texture is a matter of consistent use over weeks, not days. We don't publish percentages we can't stand behind, so we won't give you a number until we have our own panel results.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Tell us. Email us at info@luacee.com or message us on WhatsApp and a person will answer — often the same day. If the jar arrived damaged or it is not what you ordered, send a photograph and we will replace it without asking you to ship anything back. If it simply is not the cream for you, we cannot take an opened jar back, for hygiene reasons — so the honest advice is to read "Is this cream right for my skin?" above and patch test before you commit. We would rather talk you out of it beforehand than disappoint you after Returns & Refunds policy.
